Family Means Everything

I wrote this song to celebrate all that being a father brings to me and to encourage those who aren’t in their children’s lives to get involved. Absentee fathers rob themselves of the joys of fatherhood. Be a father to your child TODAY!!

The video is shot entirely by my 11 year-old sun and myself, and completely edited by me. Not to bad for our first effort huh?

Special thanks to my brother Erik Prestbury for the track, Stan ‘Substantial’ Robinson, everyone who helped make this video possible, and everyone who makes being a great father look so easy.

Peace, and enjoy!!

Daddy and a Movie: Rango

Peace family. Once again we’re calling all dads, from all walks, to please come out and support the “Daddy and a Movie” series at Cylburn Arboretum.

The kind folks at Cylburn have granted us the opportunity to use the auditorium in the Vollmer Center to encourage dads and their families to come out and enjoy a FREE movie together.

We will have vendors there with refreshments and other products at cost. Our second feature will be Rango. Please join us for this feature and all future showings. Bring the whole family out and spread the word.

Please RSVP by calling Cylburn at 410-367 -2217

By Mark Echols

One of my favorite movies is Antwone Fisher. I believe that the movie appealed to me, as someone who regularly works with children. As a result of my work with children, I was particularly attuned to Antwone struggles to go through life as an abused and abandoned child. One of my favorite scenes in Antwone Fisher happened during his first break through therapy session. Read the rest of this entry »
